9 pictures to efficiently identify common types of coffee brewing

"Coffee seems to have become an indispensable "stimulant" for many friends every day. We drink so much coffee, but do you know them? Do you want to know your own taste for coffee? Today, Rocket Girl will help you sort out these coffee brewing types!

From then on, I knew all the tricks of Starbucks’ menu very well.”

The following pictures are made by Rocket Girl, please don’t dislike them:

Espresso

Ingredients: espresso extract

Espresso comes from Italian, which means "made for you immediately" , or "quickly" for short! Because espresso must be delivered to customers immediately after it is made. Espresso uses high pressure to allow boiling water vapor to pass through coffee powder quickly in just a few seconds, which can produce about 1/4 ounce of coffee, which tastes bitter and fragrant.

Macchiato

Ingredients: espresso + milk foam

Macchiato is originally Italian, meaning: "brand, mark" , translated as "Macchiato" but we have become accustomed to calling it "Macchiato" .

Macchiato is made by adding a layer of hot milk foam on top of espresso to protect the temperature of the coffee. The sweet and smooth milk foam can just dilute the bitterness of the espresso. So if you can't give up the taste of coffee or sweetness, you can try Macchiato.

Americano

Ingredients: espresso + water

American coffee (English: Americano; Italian: Caffè Americano) is the most common coffee.

There are two ways to make Americano coffee:

  • Black coffee made using a drip coffee maker, French press, or similar device

  • Add a lot of water to espresso

Since a large amount of water is added, the taste is relatively light, but the extraction time is generally longer, so the caffeine content is very high.

Latte

Ingredients: espresso + milk

Latte is a classic blend of espresso and milk.

Latte is the transliteration of the Italian word "Latte", which also means milk. So when you are in certain situations (such as in Italy), when the barista asks you whether you want latte or latte coffee, don't just say latte to save trouble, so that you will only get milk. (For example, "matcha latte" means matcha milk.)

The method of making latte is also very simple. Just add boiling milk to the freshly made espresso. The amount of milk to add depends on personal taste.

Of course, latte is also a type of coffee that is often used to show off one’s “pulling (mei) art (shi) skills (zhao) (shi).

I heard that latte art goes better with coffee.

Cappuccino

Ingredients: espresso + milk + milk foam

Traditional cappuccino is a combination of one-third espresso, one-third steamed milk and one-third milk foam . Cappuccino is divided into wet cappuccino and dry cappuccino. Wet cappuccino refers to the method with more milk and less milk foam. The milk aroma covers the coffee flavor, so the taste is relatively light. Dry cappuccino refers to the method with less milk and more milk foam, so the coffee flavor is stronger.

Flat White

Ingredients: espresso (double) + milk + milk foam (a small amount)

There has always been controversy as to whether Xiaobai originally came from Australia or New Zealand.

It is basically a product between latte and cappuccino, with more coffee and less milk foam. So it is also called "wet cappuccino" or "small latte". It is called "flat white" on the Starbucks menu.

Macho

Ingredients: espresso + chocolate sauce + milk

Mocha coffee is one of the oldest coffees, its history can be traced back to the origin of coffee, named after the famous Mocha Port. Mocha coffee is a mixture of Italian espresso, chocolate sauce, fresh cream and milk, and is a variation of Italian latte.

Affogato

Ingredients: espresso + ice cream

Affogato (meaning "drown" in Italian) is a drink that is almost a dessert. A cup of Affogato includes Italian espresso at the bottom of the cup and ice cream covering it. Sometimes, some caramel syrup is added to increase the sweetness and improve the taste.

Iced coffee

Ingredients: espresso + (milk) + ice cubes

Summer is here, and a cup of iced coffee will quickly get you back to normal.

The method of making iced coffee is even simpler, all you need is "ice cubes".

If you don't like the coffee flavor too strong, just add more milk.
