Coffee bean production process: from cultivation to roasting, taste the aroma step by step!

Coffee is one of the most popular drinks in the world, and coffee beans are an important raw material for making coffee. From cultivation to roasting, each step has an important impact on the final taste.

First of all, coffee bean cultivation requires the selection of suitable climate and soil conditions. Most high-quality coffee beans come from high-altitude areas, where the temperature is moderate, the sunshine is sufficient, and there is abundant rainfall. Farmers patiently plant and maintain coffee trees and pick the fruits when they are ripe.

After picking, the fruit is peeled to reveal the inner pulp of the so-called "coffee cherry" and two seeds (which we often call "beans"). Next comes the pulping and fermentation process. This step is very critical because fermentation gives the beans a special flavor and affects their taste.

After fermentation, the beans are cleaned and dried until the moisture content reaches the right ratio. Then it enters the roasting stage. Roasting is to heat the coffee beans to a specific temperature to cause chemical changes inside them, releasing aroma and flavor. Different degrees of roasting will produce coffee with different tastes.

Light roasting usually retains the original sourness and floral and fruity aroma of the beans, which is suitable for people who like a fresh taste. Medium roasting is more balanced, and the sour, sweet, bitter and astringent taste can all be reflected. Deep roasting allows the oil on the surface of the coffee beans to be fully released, producing a rich and bitter taste.

Finally, when brewing on-site at home or in a coffee shop, you need to choose a brewing method that suits your taste preferences and the type of equipment you use, and control factors such as water temperature, water volume, and brewing time.

In conclusion, when enjoying a delicious cup of coffee, remember these steps: from cultivation to roasting to brewing, each link plays an important role. Only after careful preparation and meticulous attention can you taste that intoxicating cup of coffee.
