Coffee is an irresistible and mellow drink. Its production process is a process full of details and skills. From cultivation to roasting, each link has an important impact on the final taste of coffee. First of all, the cultivation of coffee beans requires the selection of geographical environments and climatic conditions suitable for growth. Generally speaking, high altitude areas, warm and humid climates, and soils rich in organic matter are the most ideal planting conditions. Farmers patiently wait for the coffee trees to produce red, ripe berries before picking them. The next step is to process the picked coffee cherries. This step is called "peeling", which is to separate the pulp from the two dark blue or green seeds inside (what we call coffee beans). The traditional method uses large machines to peel the cherries, while the more delicate and manual method is to soak the cherries in water to allow the pulp to ferment naturally and then rinse them with clean water. After the skins are removed, the beans are dried to reduce their moisture content to an appropriate level. This process usually takes several weeks, with farmers laying out the beans in the sun and turning them constantly to ensure even drying. The last step is roasting, which is also the key link in determining the flavor of coffee. By controlling the temperature and time, the raw beans are heated to a certain degree. During this process, the water inside the coffee beans begins to expand and produce gas, which gradually transforms into fragrant oil substances under high temperature. At the same time, the color also changes from the original dark green to the familiar brown. After a series of careful production processes, the elements of acidity, bitterness and aroma are balanced and coordinated. The final drink can show a rich and complex taste. In short, patience and skills are needed in every link to create a cup of delicious, fragrant and charming coffee. From cultivation to roasting, each step is to maximize the flavor of coffee beans. So, when you taste a cup of fragrant coffee, please remember that there are countless efforts and wisdom hidden behind it. |
