Siphon coffee: a unique brewing method that brings you a pure taste

introduction

Coffee, as a popular drink, has many brewing methods. Siphon coffee has become the first choice of many coffee lovers for its unique brewing method and taste. This article will show you the pure taste and unique brewing method of siphon coffee.

What is Siphon Coffee?

The siphon pot is a device consisting of two glass containers that brews coffee using the vacuum principle. It uses the pressure difference between the upper and lower containers to make water rise from the lower container to the upper container and come into contact with and mix with the coffee powder. The coffee produced in this way has a rich and pure taste.

How to use a siphon pot

Using a siphon pot to make coffee requires certain skills and steps:

  1. Prepare the materials:
    • - Siphon pot: Make sure it is clean and dry.
    • - Dehydrated and ground beans: Choose fresh coffee beans and grind them into medium fineness using a grinder.
    • - Kettle: used to heat water.
  2. Preheat the siphon pot:
  3. Place the lower container of the siphon pot in warm water to preheat it. This will prevent the coffee from becoming weaker due to temperature differences during the brewing process.

  4. Assembling the siphon pot:
  5. Connect the upper and lower containers with the rubber seal and make sure they are well sealed. Then place the filter in the upper container and make sure it fits tightly against the edge.

  6. Add coffee powder and water:
  7. Add the appropriate amount of coffee powder to the upper container according to your personal taste. Then use a small spoon to gently flatten the surface. Next, slowly pour water that has been pre-heated to a suitable temperature (about 90°C) into the upper container.

Siphon pot brewing process

The brewing process of a siphon pot is divided into two stages:

  1. Soaking phase:
  2. After pouring water, wait for about 30 seconds to allow the coffee powder to fully soak. During this process, the coffee powder reacts chemically with the hot water to release a rich aroma.

  3. Suction phase:
  4. When the steeping time is over, a vacuum effect is created in the upper container. Remove the lower container from the heat source and cover the small hole in the top of the upper container with your finger. Then gently place the lower container back on the base of the siphon pot.

Enjoy the authentic taste

The coffee brewed by the syphon pot has a pure and rich taste. It can perfectly extract the aroma and flavor of the coffee beans and make them reach their best state.

Conclusion

Siphon coffee has become a favorite among many coffee lovers for its unique brewing method and pure taste. By mastering the correct usage and steps, you can also enjoy this unique coffee experience at home. Come and try it!
