Drinking coffee or strong tea can refresh you? Is it true? Listen to what nutritionists say!

Coffee and strong tea have become the favorite drinks of many people since when. When asked why, many people say that they rely on them to refresh themselves, but is this really the case? How can we be more reliable in refreshing ourselves?

Coffee contains nutrients such as sugar, fat, niacin, caffeine, alkaloids, etc. Because of the caffeine and other ingredients it contains, drinking it will reduce the feeling of fatigue, improve sensitivity and concentration.

However, drinking coffee regularly can cause a lot of harm to the body. Coffee contains a lot of caffeine, which can stimulate the cerebral cortex, eliminate sleepiness, enhance touch and thinking ability, adjust heart function, and dilate kidney blood vessels and act as a diuretic.

Excessive intake of caffeine can easily cause tinnitus, hyperfunction of the heart, and uneven pulse, so it is recommended to drink coffee in moderation.

Regular consumption of strong coffee can cause mental irritation and aggravate high blood pressure; frequent drinking can also lead to mild calcium deficiency or even osteoporosis (milky coffee is better). Therefore, relying on drinking strong coffee to refresh yourself is not reliable. Although it does work, it is not recommended. If you drink coffee, it is recommended not to exceed 300 ml per day.

"Instant coffee" is still popular on the market. Instant coffee is generally made of non-dairy creamer, white sugar, coffee powder and some food additives. The concentration of coffee itself is very low, not to mention "caffeine". Moreover, the content of emulsifiers, stabilizers and trans fatty acids is relatively high. It is not recommended for everyone to drink it at all.

Speaking of caffeine, it does have a certain effect in refreshing the mind. If people do not rest often, they will feel tired, and then the brain will sense it through "adenosine". In order to let the brain know, adenosine must be docked with a specific receptor in the brain.

It just so happens that caffeine can also bind to this receptor and block the transmission of messengers, so you won’t feel tired, but the adenosine substance itself does not decrease due to the presence of caffeine, it’s just a feeling.

For strong tea, the principle is basically the same. Although it does work, it should be consumed in small amounts and it should be light tea, which is relatively more reliable.

At this point, the "refreshing problem" that you are most concerned about is roughly clear. Refreshing cannot simply rely on drinks or food to excite the nerves. Everything has its pros and cons, and excessive consumption will harm the body.

From a scientific point of view, if you want to be "excited", you need to have enough rest, a light (not too greasy) diet and moderate exercise to maintain it. Good rest can help the body reach an excited state. The recommended sleep time is about 8 hours a day.

In addition, if time permits, adding a 20-minute lunch break at noon will be even more perfect; in terms of diet, a light diet can avoid drowsiness and fatigue caused by excessive intake of fat (greasy). In daily diet, attention should be paid to food diversity, more vegetables and less meat, a combination of coarse and fine foods, not eating until you are full (about 70 minutes is enough), and drinking water to avoid drowsiness;

Speaking of exercise, it is a very important condition to ensure that you are "excited". You should exercise at least three times a week, and each time should not be less than 50 minutes. As for the form, aerobic exercise (brisk walking, jogging, cycling) is the best, and anaerobic (equipment) exercise is also a good choice.

Although coffee and strong tea have a simple stimulating effect, you should not rely on drinking too much. You should rest when you need to and not disrupt your normal routine. You need to look at these things scientifically and not harm your health by blindly following them.
