Is it possible to make coffee with a soymilk maker?

A soymilk machine is a household appliance that is used to make soymilk, while coffee is a drink made from ground coffee beans. Although both are made from beans, they are very different in production process and taste. So, is it feasible to make coffee with a soymilk machine? Let's explore.

First, we need to understand why people usually use coffee machines to brew coffee. This is because coffee machines can fully contact water with coffee powder through high temperature and high pressure, and extract the aroma and taste of coffee powder. Soymilk machines mainly use stirring and heating to crush soybeans and make a dense liquid.

Secondly, the temperature control problem needs to be considered during use. For brewing coffee, the water temperature is usually around 90°C, which allows the water and coffee powder to be fully mixed and release the aroma; while for making soy milk, a higher temperature (about 80°C) is required to completely soften the soybeans and achieve the best taste. Therefore, the temperature control of the soy milk machine may not meet the requirements of brewing coffee.

In addition, coffee powder and beans differ in size, shape and texture. Coffee powder is usually fine and uniform, while beans are larger and harder. This means that using a soymilk machine to brew coffee may not be able to fully stir the coffee powder and release its aroma and flavor.

Finally, we also need to consider the cleaning issue. Since a certain amount of residue will be produced when making soy milk, the soy milk machine needs to be thoroughly cleaned after use to prevent the residue from affecting the next use. If you use the soy milk machine to make coffee, it may cause more residue to clog the machine or affect the taste of other foods when you make them next time.

To sum up, it is not feasible to make coffee with a soymilk machine. Although both are made from peas, they have obvious differences in process, temperature control, raw material characteristics, etc. Therefore, if you want a delicious cup of coffee, you should choose a professional coffee machine to brew it.
