The magical journey of coffee beans begins with their planting. In remote tropical regions, the sunny and humid environment is what coffee trees need to grow. Farmers patiently wait for the coffee trees to bloom and bear fruit, and when the fruits are ripe, they carefully pick them. Once picked, coffee cherries are transformed into the skin and pulp of what is known as coffee cherries. These cherries need to be carefully processed to produce the coffee beans we love. First, farmers soak and ferment the cherries in water to remove the pulp and other impurities. Next comes the natural drying phase, which takes place in the sun for several days or artificially using special equipment. This process is very important because it affects the final taste and quality. Once completely dried, the remaining portion is what we call "unprocessed" or "green beans." These green beans need to be shipped around the world for further processing, roasting, and grinding. The magical journey of coffee beans is not over yet. After they arrive at the roasting plant, they will go through a key step: roasting. Different degrees of roasting will give coffee beans different flavors and tastes. Light roasting will retain more of the original flavor, while deep roasting will bring a richer and more bitter taste. The last step is to crush the coffee beans or "grind". This process determines whether we drink espresso, filter coffee or other types. Different types of production methods require coffee powder of different coarseness. Through a series of steps including planting, picking, handling, transportation and processing, we can taste a cup of perfect, magical, fragrant, intoxicating and enjoyable ultimate experience! |
