Some friends asked me about latte art before, today I will start with how to make a solid latte art! It is easy to make mistakes when making a solid latte art, and there are some things to pay attention to when practicing. The milk foam should be sufficient and dense, and the fusion between the milk and the foam should be high (a little more foam when pulling solid will help to shape it). Then there is the gesture of holding the cup, which has been mentioned in the previous article. For details, please see " 【Front Street Barista's Notes】Is there a particular way to hold the cup when making latte art? ". Next is the fusion between the whipped milk and the espresso. These are the preliminary preparations for making a cup of latte art. After we extract a cup of espresso and make the milk foam, we first shake the espresso in the cup in circles to make the oil adhere to the wall of the cup, and then tilt the cup at about 40° . When pouring milk, be sure to control the water column not to be too large, so that the milk can directly penetrate the coffee liquid to reach the bottom layer, and then start to circle to mix the milk and coffee liquid. What needs to be noted here is that when pouring milk, the water column should be thin and fixed in the middle of the coffee liquid. As shown in the picture: Then start mixing the milk and coffee in circles until it is about 60% full and start latte art 【Steps to pull solid 】 ① Lower the milk jug close to the cup and start pouring from the center of the liquid surface. ② While the milk cup in your left hand is straightened, increase the flow rate and straighten the milk jug in your right hand. You will see the milk foam floating on the surface, slowly forming a circle and expanding. ③When the cup is almost at 180°, the circle of milk foam has been formed. Raise the milk tank in place while reducing the water flow (be careful not to push forward while raising it), and use the impact of the water flow to press the upper layer of coffee liquid downward. At this time, you will see a heart-shaped groove appear in the original circle, and the water flows on both sides gather in the middle. ④ When the heart-shaped groove appears, you can push it forward so that the heart-shaped pointed tail will come out. ⑤A solid was born. Let's look at some failed cases. Case 1: The milk foam is thinner, so when you pour it, the milk will dissolve on its own and become unfocused. Case 2: When drawing the pattern, the position is now close to the edge, so the solid position is biased. Case 3: The cup was straightened too quickly and the milk jug couldn't keep up so the pattern was elongated. Case 4: The milk foam is too thick and lacks fluidity, so it feels like a lump when poured. 【Tips for pulling solid 】 Start from the center, maintain the water flow, raise the centering groove in place, and push forward horizontally. By watching the cases, we can summarize the mistakes we are prone to make and avoid making the same mistakes. ❤Solid latte art❤ is a basic skill, even experienced people can fail to do it well. Sometimes the simpler things seem, the harder they are. So we should know how to review the old to learn the new. When practicing new latte art patterns, we should not lose the basic skills. I will also start to practice, let's work hard together!!!
