Regarding the three factors for buying coffee, listen to the inner monologue of this coffee bean

As a coffee bean with aspirations, I am full of concerns about whether I can realize the value of being born as a coffee bean.

At this moment, I am temporarily resting in a storage jar of an urban family, basking in the afternoon sun.

Through the glass of the storage jar, I could see the family's coffee-brewing equipment, a set of hand-brew coffee utensils.

Just these two elements make me feel that when I turn into liquid, I will definitely be criticized for being "not good to drink".

Why do I say so?

Maybe you feel comfortable all over after basking in the sun, but at this moment, I feel that something precious is being lost and aging under the sunshine.

The filter paper for hand-brewed coffee will filter out my oil, and my signature feature - mellow and rich fragrance - will be greatly reduced.

What you drink will not be the most precious me. How can I, who pursues perfection, bear this?

In fact, we don’t need to shout loudly, the following elements can describe the quality of our beans:

Origin (country, region)

How the green beans are processed (sun-dried? washed? honey-processed?)

Roasting degree (light roast? medium roast? dark roast?)

Of course, there is another important element, which is the variety of coffee, Arabica and Robusta.

Generally speaking, Arabica grows at higher altitudes and Robusta grows at lower altitudes.

At the same latitude, the lower the altitude, the shorter the growing period of the coffee beans and the more chlorogenic acid that can resist pests and diseases.

A short growing period means less sweetness and flavor.

The more chlorogenic acid there is, the more bitter it is likely to taste.

However, the difference between these varieties is by no means black and white. Some people may prefer the strong bitter feeling...

Only by understanding this basic information and considering your own brewing method and personal preferences can you find the coffee beans that belong to you.

After all, the shoes that fit your feet are the most valuable shoes to you.

For example, there is a coffee bean:

Origin: Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia

Green bean processing method: water washing

Roasting degree: light roast

Seeing these, you will know that such beans are very suitable for hand brewing.

The coffee in your cup will be bright and light, with rich layers, full of charming floral and fruity aromas, and as pleasant as a Mozart sonata.

What about me who is proud of me? I am a bean that you will never forget:

Origin: Sumatra, Indonesia

Green coffee processing method: wet hulling

Roasting degree: medium dark roast

Seeing these, you will know that brewing me with French press or Aeropress is more suitable to express my style: rich, thick, and mellow, as if the earth opens its most solid and comforting heart to you.

Don’t think that I am just an ordinary coffee bean. I am a bean with extraordinary pursuits and Virgo personality traits.

Seeing that you humans don’t pay attention to investment and output, and invite us home but don’t know how to extract our essence, my perfectionism immediately kicks in.

When it comes to coffee beans like me, I hope everyone has the spirit of never giving up until they reach perfection. This is what coffee beans expect from coffee drinkers.
