The brewing of coffee requires particular tools and methods. Here, we introduce several of the most commonly used and classic coffee brewing methods: Siphon brewing method. This is a traditional method of making coffee. Steam pressure is used to make heated water flow upward from the beaker below through a siphon and filter cloth. The water then mixes with the coffee powder in the cup above to completely extract the ingredients in the coffee powder. After the fire source is removed, the extracted coffee liquid flows back into the lower cup. Filter paper brewing method. This is a typical home method and is very practical. When brewing, use filter paper to filter out all the coffee grounds and throw away the filter paper after each use to get clear and fragrant coffee. When using a filter paper coffee pot, it is advisable to use finely ground coffee powder to get the best brewing effect. Filter cloth brewing method. Using the principle of "old soup to make new medicine", this is the brewing method favored by insiders. After the flannel cloth just used for filtering has been used repeatedly, the coffee oil will adhere to the texture of the flannel cloth, making the coffee more fragrant. Water drip brewing method. Drip coffee is also known as Dutch coffee. The drip pot used for brewing was invented by an archbishop in Paris. It uses cold or ice water to extract the essence of coffee drop by drop at a speed of 40 drops per minute. If you don't mind the time, you can try this method. It is worth mentioning that this coffee contains very low caffeine, so it is particularly refreshing, but it is very expensive. Osmotic modulation method. This is a modern coffee making method. It is mainly brewed using a household coffee pot. During the brewing process, there is not only a wonderful coffee aroma, but also a pleasant sound, which is made when water flows in the system. However, the coffee brewed by the coffee percolator has a bitter taste. Drip filtration method. The drip filter is divided into two parts. The roasted and ground coffee is placed on the filter paper at the top, and then hot water is poured on it. The liquid drips down due to gravity and passes through the filter paper into the coffee pot below. The whole process takes 6-8 minutes, and finally only a little pure coffee with fine foam is obtained. The correct manual drip method is to use cold water and heat it to nearly boiling, heat the coffee pot, and then pour out the water. Add some water to the ground coffee to activate the coffee. Then pour in an appropriate amount of water. French piston pot method. Using the piston pot is very simple. First, preheat the pot, put in ground coffee (about 5 grams per cup), add hot water and stir, soak for 4-5 minutes, push down the stainless steel piston with mesh to separate the coffee powder and liquid, and finally pour the coffee liquid from the piston pot. One thing to note when buying a piston pot is not to be greedy and buy the one with a nylon mesh piston, because the stainless steel mesh is better and more durable. |
