Can a coffee bean breaker grind coffee beans into powder?

Can a coffee bean breaker grind coffee beans into powder?

A coffee bean breaker is a common coffee shop appliance, usually used to break nuts, grains and other ingredients into powder. However, for coffee beans, using a coffee bean breaker to grind them into powder is not an ideal choice for coffee beans.

First, the hardness and special properties of coffee beans make them different from other ingredients. Compared with softer ingredients such as nuts and grains, coffee beans are harder and denser. This means that when using a blender, more force and pressure are required to completely break them into powder. Ordinary household blenders often do not provide enough power to cope with this challenge.

Secondly, there is another problem during use: high-speed rotating blades may generate excessive friction and cause heat. Since coffee beans contain oil and aroma substances, they are easily oxidized and deteriorated at high temperatures, thus affecting the taste and aroma quality of the final coffee. Therefore, when pursuing a high-quality coffee experience, it is not recommended to use a wall breaker to grind coffee beans.

In summary, although the wall breaker performs well in breaking nuts, grains and other ingredients into powder, it is not suitable for coffee beans. Due to the hardness and special properties of coffee beans, as well as the excessive friction and heating caused by high-speed rotating blades, it is difficult to achieve the ideal effect by using a wall breaker to break them into powder. Therefore, when making high-quality coffee, it is recommended to choose a professional coffee bean grinder or a manual grinder to obtain a better taste and aroma.
