How to brew strong coffee from coffee beans

First of all, choosing high-quality coffee beans is the key to making a strong and fragrant coffee. High-quality coffee beans usually have a higher oil content and fewer defects. Freshness is also very important, so it is recommended to buy whole, unbroken, unopened bags of coffee beans with a production date label. In addition, when purchasing, you can choose different origins or blends according to your personal taste preferences.

Secondly, it is also crucial to grind the coffee beans correctly during the brewing process. Different brewing methods require different coarse and fine grinds. For example, if you use a drip brewing method, the coffee beans should be coarsely ground; while if you use a French press pot, they should be ground into a slightly finer powder. When grinding coffee beans, it is best to use a freshly ground coffee machine or a manual grinder to ensure that the freshness and flavor of the beans are preserved.

Finally, controlling the water temperature and time during the brewing process is also key. Generally speaking, the water temperature should be between 90°C and 96°C. If the water temperature is too low, the aroma and flavor of the coffee beans cannot be fully extracted; if the water temperature is too high, it may cause a bitter taste. In addition, the brewing time also needs to be properly controlled. Usually, 3 to 4 minutes is enough to extract most of the aroma and flavor of the coffee beans.
