How are coffee beans made into instant coffee?

Instant coffee is a convenient and quick way to prepare coffee. It can be dissolved in water in a short time, making coffee making easier. So, let's learn how to make instant coffee from coffee beans.

First of all, to make instant coffee, you need to choose high-quality coffee beans. Usually, it is better to use high-quality Arabica or Robusta beans. These beans have a rich and complex taste after being carefully selected and roasted.

Next, in the production process, these selected beans need to be ground. This step is very important because only by grinding them into the right size particles can the best effect be guaranteed. Smaller particles will make them more soluble and easy to dissolve quickly in water.

Then, before exposing the ground beans to high temperatures for dry extraction, a key step is required: pre-soaking. Through the pre-soaking process, the soluble substances in the coffee beans will be released for better extraction in the subsequent steps.

In the dry extraction process, pre-soaked coffee beans are exposed to high temperatures. This process is usually achieved using spray drying technology. Hot water is sprayed onto the coffee particles and air flow is used to quickly dehydrate them, resulting in instant coffee particles.

Finally, the last step in making instant coffee is cooling and packaging. These just-made instant coffee granules need to be fully cooled to maintain their quality and taste. They are then sealed in jars or bags to prevent moisture from entering and maintain freshness.

In summary, making instant coffee requires multiple steps, including selecting high-quality beans, grinding, pre-soaking, dry extraction, and packaging. These steps ensure that the final product has good taste and is easy to use. Therefore, instant coffee is a convenient and delicious choice when you are busy or in urgent need of a cup of fragrant coffee.
