Coffee is a popular beverage, and brewing it is key to making a delicious cup. Choosing the right coffee beans is crucial in the brewing process. This article will provide you with a comprehensive guide to help you understand how to use coffee beans to brew the perfect tasting coffee.

First of all, it is very important to choose the right coffee beans. Coffee beans from different regions and varieties have different flavor characteristics. If you like a strong and bitter taste, you can choose dark roasted or French roasted beans; if you prefer a softer and fruity taste, then medium roasted or city roasted will be more suitable for you. In addition, when purchasing, make sure to buy coffee beans that are fresh and well preserved.

Second, before you start brewing, make sure you have measured and ground your coffee to the appropriate coarseness (depending on the device you are using). For devices such as manual drip brewers, French presses, etc., coarser particles will produce a slower brewing speed, while finer particles will produce a faster brewing speed. Adjust the grind size based on your personal taste preferences and the device you are using.


Finally, brew in the right proportions and for the right time. Generally, you'll need to use 10 grams of coffee beans for every 100 milliliters of water. Heat the water to 90-96°C (195-205°F) and pour it into a filter cup or pot. Start with a "pre-infusion" step, which involves pouring a small amount of water evenly over the coffee beans and waiting about 30 seconds for them to expand and release their aroma. Next, pour in the rest of the water slowly and evenly, and adjust the brewing time depending on the equipment you're using (usually 2-4 minutes). When you're done, enjoy your freshly brewed coffee right away.
