How much coffee a day can cause addiction?

If you drink coffee every day for a long time and don’t feel any discomfort when you suddenly stop one day, it means that you are indeed not "addicted".

In fact, the medical community does not believe that coffee is "addictive". It only acknowledges that there is coffee withdrawal syndrome, which is a mental disorder.

If you do not experience withdrawal symptoms, the fundamental reason is that the amount you drink may not be much. Generally, a dose of about 100 mg per day is not likely to cause "addiction".

Many people, especially those who are under great pressure at work, are used to drinking a lot of coffee every day. In this case, if they suddenly stop drinking it one day, they may experience symptoms such as headache, fatigue, anxiety, irritability, and lack of concentration. In this case, ordinary coffee doses can no longer help to concentrate, but only relieve discomfort.

In addition, although coffee can make people more awake, some studies have shown that it does not significantly improve reaction time and judgment. In fact, college students who often drink alcohol and coffee are more likely to have car accidents.

Half of caffeine will be metabolized in the body in about 5-7 hours, and 75% will be metabolized in about 8-10 hours. Therefore, it is best not to drink coffee within 5 hours before going to bed. Of course, each person's sensitivity depends on your metabolic capacity and the amount of coffee you drink on a daily basis. Some people are just fine.

So I would like to remind everyone that you can still drink coffee under normal circumstances, but you must control the amount and not develop a caffeine dependence.

Have you been drinking coffee recently? If not, what kind of coffee would you drink first if you have the chance?
