Kudi's first barista exam: the purgatory and growth of a novice

Purgatory and Growth of Novices

As a barista, my passion and pursuit for coffee remain the same. However, when I took the Kudi Barista Exam for the first time, I really realized the challenges and difficulties I faced. This exam became an opportunity for me to grow and let me understand the purgatory and growth that novices go through in the coffee industry.

Entering the workplace: exploration and confusion

When I first started working at Kudi Coffee Shop, I was full of expectations and excitement. However, in actual operation, I found that it was not as smooth as I imagined. First of all, the various appliances and equipment were dazzling, and for a novice, it was like a mystery that was difficult to understand.

At the same time, many problems were encountered in the process of making coffee. For example, adjusting the water temperature, controlling the time, and other details required constant exploration and practice to achieve the best results.

In addition, I was also very confused when facing customer orders. Everyone has different preferences for coffee tastes, and how to adjust the coffee recipe according to customer requirements became my biggest problem.

Hardships and setbacks: heading towards purgatory

After a period of exploration and practice, I gradually mastered the basic operations and skills. However, this does not mean that I can easily deal with various situations. On the contrary, more difficulties and challenges followed.

The first is work pressure. During peak hours, the order volume is very large, and each cup of coffee needs to be completed quickly and accurately. This puts a lot of pressure on me both mentally and physically.

Secondly, the technical requirements are getting higher and higher. Kudi Coffee Shop aims to provide high-quality and refined products, and has strict requirements for every detail in the production process. From water temperature to milk foaming angle to hand gestures, etc., every link needs to reach the extreme to meet customer needs.

In addition, you need to stay calm and solve problems when facing customer complaints. Sometimes customers are dissatisfied with the taste of the coffee or the service, and as a barista you need to listen patiently and solve the problem in a timely manner.

Growth and Gain: Towards Success

Despite all the difficulties and challenges, I did not give up. On the contrary, I gradually improved my technical level and work ability through continuous learning and practice.

The first is the familiarity with the instruments and equipment. Through repeated operation and practice, I gradually mastered the use of various instruments and was able to adjust them as needed.

The second is the breakthrough in technology. After a period of practice, I began to try some more complex and innovative production methods, such as latte art, cold brew coffee, etc. In this process, I not only improved my production skills, but also increased customers' recognition of the store's product quality and service experience.

The most important thing is to establish a good relationship with customers. By actively communicating with customers and making reasonable suggestions or improvement plans for them to improve user experience, customer satisfaction is increased.

Summarize

Taking the Kudi Barista Exam was an important experience in my growth. In this process, I experienced the purgatory and growth of a novice. Through constant exploration and practice, I gradually mastered the skills and art of coffee making and achieved certain results.

However, this is just the beginning. As a barista, I know that I still have a lot to learn and improve. In the future, I will continue to work hard, strive for excellence in my work, and provide every customer with a better and higher-quality coffee experience.
