Coffee Kopi Luwak, also known as "civet cat" or "poop coffee", is a very special coffee. It is famous for its rare and unique production process. The following will introduce this peculiar production process in detail.

1. Raw material collection

First, to make Kopi Luwak, we need to collect wild animals from Asia and Africa - small forest carnivores - Asian Musk Deer and African Musk Deer (also known as possums). These animals are necessary for us to get high-quality raw materials.

2. Edible bean extract

Once we have a sufficient number of certified Asian and African forest musk deer, the next step is one of the most critical: edible bean extraction. These small carnivores mainly feed on plant foods such as berries and fruits in their natural environment. We extract their feces, which contains digested coffee beans.

3. Cleaning and fermentation

The extracted edible beans need to go through a rigorous cleaning and fermentation process. First, we soak the beans in water for a period of time to remove the remaining feces and impurities. Then, they are dried and placed in a specific environment for fermentation.

4. Baking

After cleaning and fermentation, the coffee beans are ready for the next step: roasting. To ensure the best taste and aroma, we screen the coffee beans before roasting and select the best quality beans for processing. Then, they are placed in special equipment for roasting at the appropriate temperature and time.

5. Grinding and brewing

Once the roasting stage is completed, the next two steps are: grinding and brewing. First, use professional equipment to grind the roasted coffee beans carefully and evenly. Then, add the ground coffee powder to the brewing equipment and brew it at the appropriate temperature and time.

6. Taste and Enjoy

Finally, the finished coffee, Kopi Luwak, is ready to be tasted and enjoyed. This special coffee is known for its rich taste and aroma. It is considered a premium quality coffee and commands a higher price.

In summary, making civet coffee requires multiple steps, including raw material collection, edible bean extraction, cleaning and fermentation, roasting, grinding and brewing. Each step is very important, and only after careful processing can the best taste and aroma be obtained. Although this production process is relatively special, it does give this coffee an incomparable flavor experience.
