Coffee's origins, varieties and production methods

The origin of coffee

Coffee is a beverage made from coffee beans that originated in Africa. According to legend, a shepherd named Kaldi discovered the magical effects of coffee in the 9th century. He noticed that his sheep became unusually active after eating a certain red berry. Kaldi tried the berry and found that it could keep people awake and energetic.

variety

There are currently two main types of coffee in the world: Arabica and Robusta.

Arabica is one of the most common and popular varieties. It has a lower caffeine content and higher acidity, with a mild and aromatic flavor.

Robusta is higher in concentration, stronger, more bitter, and has more body and a deeper taste.

Preparation method

1. Grinding:

First, put the green beans into the grinder for crushing. Different coffee grinding degrees are suitable for different production methods, such as coarse grinding is suitable for brewing coffee machines, and fine grinding is suitable for espresso.

2. Brewing:

Brewing is one of the most common methods of making coffee. Use filter paper or metal mesh filter to put the ground coffee into the brewing device, add appropriate amount of boiling water to soak and filter.

3. Espresso:

Espresso is a coffee beverage made by forcing water under high pressure through tightly packed and densely compacted coffee grounds. This method produces a rich, creamy flavor with a powerful aroma.
