Pour-over coffee tutorial: How to make capsules

Hand brewed coffee is a delicate cooking method that can bring a rich coffee aroma and taste. Capsule coffee is a convenient option that allows you to easily enjoy professional-quality coffee at home. This article will introduce you to how to make capsule coffee.

Prepare the Materials

First, we need to prepare the following materials:

  • 1. Pre-wash filter paper
  • 2. Capsule shell and cover
  • 3. Compressor or press machine
  • 4. Bean grinder or ready-ground coffee powder
  • 5. High temperature resistant tape (optional)

Step 1: Choose the right capsule shell and lid

First, choose the right capsule shell and lid. There are many different types and sizes of capsules available on the market. You can choose the right capsule according to your coffee machine model.

Step 2: Prepare the filter paper for washing

Before use, we need to pre-treat the washing filter paper. Soak the washing filter paper in cold water for a while, then take it out and dry it. Doing so can remove the residual taste and make the filtering effect better.

Step 3: Fill with coffee powder

Pour the ground coffee powder into a clean, dry and odor-free container. The amount to use depends on personal taste. It is generally recommended to fill each capsule with about 10 grams to 15 grams.

Step 4: Compact the coffee grounds

Use a compressor or a press to compact the coffee grounds evenly. This ensures that the coffee grounds can fully release their aroma and flavor during the brewing process.

Step 5: Seal the capsule

Place the filled capsule into the shell and close the lid. If you are concerned that the capsule may come loose, you can use high-temperature resistant tape to seal it.

Step 6: Enjoy delicious hand-brewed coffee

  • 1. Place the prepared capsules into the coffee machine and follow the machine instructions.
  • 2. Wait for a few minutes until the rich coffee aroma fills the air.
  • 3. Pour the prepared hand-brewed coffee into the cup and savor every sip leisurely.
