What are the differences between instant coffee and specialty coffee? (Part 2)

In our daily life, most people who stay up late, overtime workers and office workers drink instant coffee. In the eyes of every barista, instant coffee is often looked down upon. In the world of baristas, instant coffee and coffee are two completely different things. So what is the difference between instant coffee and traditional boutique coffee?

Difference in flavor:

Instant coffee: The aroma of instant coffee is lost too much during the production process, so additives are used to enhance the aroma. In addition, instant coffee mainly uses cheap and slightly inferior Robusta beans. The flavor is mainly industrialized essence.

Specialty coffee: Due to different production areas, different specialty coffees have various natural flavors, such as floral or fruity, or various nut and chocolate flavors. When you drink it, the flavor lasts long.

Different brewing methods:

Instant coffee: You can drink it immediately after making it with hot water. The powder is completely soluble in water. Generally, 85 degrees Celsius is the best water temperature. Good quality instant coffee will not have any impurities after being dissolved in water.

Specialty coffee: Coffee powder can be extracted in different ways to get the flavor we need, such as hand brewing or dripping.

Their respective advantages:

Instant coffee: The only advantage of instant coffee is probably its convenience.

Specialty coffee: a more natural drink, naturally healthier without additives.

Disadvantages of each:

Instant coffee: Many of the various additives are carcinogenic. The production process of non-dairy creamer is accompanied by unsaturated fatty acids, which are very bad for cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. Long-term drinking is also bad for the liver. In addition, no matter how good the flavor of instant coffee is, it is difficult to match hand-brewed boutique coffee.

Specialty coffee: Specialty coffee is relatively complicated to make, and the maintenance of various utensils is also too cumbersome. In addition, the preservation and freshness of coffee beans require certain attention. It is a bit troublesome.
