Coffee addicts’ self-mockery is not a cure, but another form of kidnapping

Coffee addicts’ self-mockery is not a cure, but another form of kidnapping
Self-deprecation by coffee addicts is not a real cure, but a form of self-restraint and kidnapping. They rely on the stimulation of caffeine and fall into a situation where they cannot extricate themselves, using self-deprecation to cover up their inner anxiety and dependence. This mentality not only cannot get rid of the predicament, but also makes people fall into a vicious cycle of self-denial. The real liberation should be to face the problem, seek balance and moderation, rather than indulge in the predicament of self-deprecation. Only in this way can we truly get rid of the shackles brought by coffee addiction and regain the freedom and happiness of life.

In this fast-paced era, coffee seems to have become our "lifeline". Whenever sleepiness strikes, a cup of coffee is like salvation, instantly igniting our spirits, but is it really like this? As a self-media author, I often hesitate between humor and truth.

Coffee, this magical little bean, what is its magic? Why are we so obsessed with it? Is it because it can refresh our minds? Or because it can make us forget the troubles of life for a while? Maybe it is both, but in my opinion, it is more like its innate ability to "kidnap". Don't believe it? Let me explain it in detail.

After a day's work, you are physically and mentally exhausted. After a cup of coffee, you will feel refreshed. At this time, you will sigh: "Wow, coffee is really a healing tool!" But have you ever thought that this is only temporary? Not long after, when the effect of coffee fades, the feeling of emptiness and sleepiness seems to double. At this time, don't you think: "Oh, if only I had another cup!" Isn't this the "kidnapping" of coffee? It makes you unable to stop, and makes you fall into dependence on it unconsciously.

Whenever I am struggling in front of my computer, I always make myself a cup of coffee. The rich aroma seems to tell me: "Don't worry, I am here, everything will be fine." Is this really a cure? Or is it just a psychological suggestion? Every time I drink coffee, I fall into a state of "supernormal performance", as if my brain has been reprogrammed, but this feeling is always fleeting, leaving only the empty coffee cup and a more tired self.

The taste of coffee is always so unique, bitter with a hint of sweetness, just like our lives. We always think it is the spice of life, but ignore the side effects it may bring. As the old saying goes, "Everything will turn into its opposite when it reaches its extreme." Coffee can indeed give us a short-term excitement and pleasure, but what if we rely on it for a long time? Can we still truly feel the beauty of life? Will we still be touched by those little happiness?

Sometimes I wonder, are we too lonely that we rely so much on coffee? Is it that what we long for deep down is not a brief moment of clarity, but real rest and relaxation? When we immerse ourselves in the world of coffee, do we ignore the scenery and people around us? Those real, warm, and closely related existences?

I admit that coffee does have its charm. It is like a cunning fox that can always capture your heart in the shortest time. But I want to say that instead of being "kidnapped" by it, it is better to try to live in peace with it. Don't let it become the protagonist in your life, and don't let it replace those things that can truly heal you. True healing is not to rely on something or someone to fill the emptiness and loneliness in your heart, but to learn to reconcile with yourself and the world.

So what I want to say here is: perhaps we should re-examine our relationship with coffee. Instead of indulging in its magic, we should bravely go out and feel the beauty and warmth of the real world. Of course, this does not mean that we should completely abandon coffee. I just hope that we can all find a balance point to make coffee a condiment in life rather than a necessity. After all, there are still many interesting things in life waiting for us to discover and experience, right?
