Coffee beans: the magic of shit transformation

Magic coffee beans: shit turns into magic

Coffee is a drink that makes people energetic and refreshed. But there is an amazing secret behind it - coffee beans have gone through magic again and again to become the delicious food we enjoy every day.

The first transformation: picking and fermentation

First, coffee beans need to go through two important steps: picking and fermentation. On the high mountains, farmers carefully select coffee berries that are moderately mature and collect them. Next, these berries are placed in a specific environment for natural fermentation.

The pulp begins to break down and chemically react with microorganisms and bacteria present in the atmosphere. This process lasts for days or even weeks, during which time the pulp gradually falls off and gives the coffee beans their special and unique flavor.

The second transformation: peeling and drying

When the pulp is completely removed, the coffee beans become dark and smooth. However, they are still covered with a layer of outer shell called "pericarp". In order to make the coffee beans show better flavor and taste, farmers need to remove this layer of pericarp.

Typically, farmers soak coffee beans in water and rub them to remove the skin. This process is called "wet processing." The coffee beans are then dried in the sun or in special equipment.

The third transformation: roasting and grinding

After fermentation, peeling and drying, coffee beans already have basic flavor characteristics. However, before they become the form we know and can use, they still need to go through the most important and critical step - roasting.

During the temperature and time controlled processing in professional equipment, chemical reactions begin to occur inside the coffee beans. They gradually lose their original color and emit aroma. At the same time, tiny popping sounds are produced under high temperature, which is because the water inside the coffee beans evaporates and forms bubbles.

After roasting, the coffee beans will be left for a while to cool down. Then, they will be sent to the grinder for crushing. Different degrees of crushing can be selected according to different needs and taste preferences.

The fourth transformation: brewing and enjoying

The last step is to brew the coffee beans that have been transformed by the magic of shit with water and enjoy the cup of delicious coffee. Whether it is drip, espresso or French press, we can feel the charm of these magical coffee beans.

Behind this magic of shit transformation are countless hardworking people. From planting, picking to processing and making, every link requires great efforts and patience. That is why we can taste such delicious and invigorating cups of coffee.

Conclusion

The magic of coffee beans' transformation gives us a deeper understanding of this ordinary food. It is not just a drink, but also a heritage and art. There is a story behind every cup of coffee, and these stories are created by farmers, roasters and baristas.

So, when enjoying every sip of fragrant coffee, please remember to thank those who have contributed silently and pay your most sincere respects for their hard work.
