Ten Years of Barista: Which coffee equipment is best for you?

Gradually, coffee has become an indispensable part of our lives. It seems that there are many people like me who drink coffee every day. Coffee seems to represent the progress of the times and has become a symbol of our enjoyment of life. Many people prefer to brew a cup of their favorite coffee by themselves. For a perfect cup of hand-brewed coffee, suitable coffee utensils are essential. Today, I will show you what coffee utensils are available and which one is more suitable for you?

1. Hand brewing kettle

The most common hand-made coffee maker, which allows users to control the speed and amount of water produced. It is simple and skillful, and is loved by many people.

2. French Press

French press: A simple brewing device made of a heat-resistant glass bottle (or transparent plastic) and a metal filter with a pressure rod, which originated in France around 1850. It was originally used for brewing black tea, so some people also call it a tea maker.

The principle of brewing coffee with a French press: Use the immersion method to release the essence of coffee through the immersion and stewing method in which water and coffee powder are fully in contact with each other.

3. Italian coffee machine

At first, it was a semi-automatic coffee machine, which we usually call an Italian coffee machine because it originated in Italy. Today, Italian coffee machines have become fully automated. This type of machine was originally operated manually to grind, press, load, brew, and remove residues manually.

The principle is to use a mixture of high-pressure steam and water to quickly pass through the coffee layer and extract the coffee instantly. The coffee that comes out in this way has a high temperature, a low content of impurities such as caffeine, and a rich taste.

4: American coffee machine

American coffee machines are all fully automatic, there are no semi-automatic products, and they are mainly for home use. The principle is to use hot water dripping onto coffee powder to extract coffee, and the extracted coffee will drip into the glass coffee pot below.

Therefore, American coffee machines are usually divided into two layers, the coffee powder is placed in a funnel-shaped container with a filter, the lower layer is a glass or ceramic coffee pot, and the cold water is in another separated compartment.

When starting, heat cold water to about 90 degrees Celsius and slowly pour it into the funnel-shaped container, so that the hot water passes through the coffee powder and flows into the coffee pot below, thereby brewing coffee.

The above are some common coffee utensils, as well as capsule coffee machines, moka pots, ice drip coffee pots, etc. In fact, no matter which coffee utensil you use, only with fine coffee beans can you brew perfect coffee. The editor usually drinks Grazie espresso beans, you can also try it.
