Beanscene Music and Coffee Houses

Beanscene At The Double

Just weeks after opening its ninth venue opposite the Kelvingrove Art Gallery, rapidly expanding coffee and music house chain Beanscene has announced plans to open its tenth outlet at Clarkston Toll. Though this latest addition to the chain takes Beanscene into double figures, it is the first outlet to feature a gallery and a mezzanine level. Located right at the Toll at the bottom of Busby Road, work has now started on site with this latest store scheduled to open in June. Gordon Richardson, Beanscene founder, said, ‘Rather city centre operations, Beanscene has always been about the neighbourhood, so Clarkston is a natural location for us. We’ve been looking for a site in the area for some time and are now looking forward to our first summer in the suburb.’ Beanscene Clarkston Toll will be serving a wide range of coffees and food – from sandwiches, soup, salads and pastries by day to tapas, paella and pizza by night, operating a Bring Your Own Bottle policy.

Established four years ago, inspired by the coffee house culture in San Francisco, Beanscene is renowned for its enlightened music, child friendly and no-smoking policies. Beanscene will open from 7.30am until 11pm seven days a week.
