Maggie’s Centre provides support for people affected by cancer the moment they walk through the front door. We are also here for their families and friends.
Our aim is to help people living with cancer to be as healthy in mind and body as possible, empowering them to make their own contribution to their medical treatment and recovery, and to live with hope and determination.
Maggie’s is first and foremost a homely and relaxing place for visitors to be in. We are open all day for people to drop in at any time to have a coffee and chat, if they want to learn more about cancer, explore our programme of support or if they simply want a quiet somewhere to sit down. All of our services are available free of charge.
Maggie’s programme of help works as well as it does because of the environment it takes place in. We see it as the key ingredient, which allows people to make the most of the ideas we can give them about helping themselves. Maggie’s environment offers spaces in which visitors feel safe and welcome but also have their imagination and their curiosity kindled
